Getting Started

Often, we may experience hesitation about starting therapy.  I invite you to call me (202) 251-2884 or send me an email at leyla@washingtondcpsychotherapy.com to discuss any questions/concerns you may have about therapy.  If you like, we can schedule a free phone consultation to discuss your problems and goals for therapy.  During this consultation, I can share how I would work with you.  If I am not the best match for your care, then I can provide you with referrals.

My office hours are by appointment.  Appointments are available weekdays during standard business hours.  Please contact me to inquire about my availability.

Fees

45 minute session: $225
Fees may be reimbursable by insurance carriers. I will complete forms and documents necessary for you to submit for reimbursement. My billing statement has all the information required by most insurance carriers.  For your convenience, here is a list of suggested questions for you to ask your insurance carrier to gather information about your coverage:

• Do I have out-of-network benefits for mental health services?
• Is Individual psychotherapy covered with a CPT Code of 90834? Is Family Therapy/Couples therapy covered with a CPT code of 90847?
• What percentage is reimbursed with a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker in the Zip Code of 20036?
• What deductible must be satisfied?
• How do I submit my claims for reimbursement?

Why am I out-of-network?

For 7 years, I was an in-network provider with a few insurance panels.  During this time, I realized the treatment was often compromised by limits insurance companies would place on the work such as limiting the length of treatment.  Most importantly, I was concerned about the limits of confidentiality.  As a result, I chose to become an out-of-network provider.
