Leyla Mahbod Kenny

Leyla M. Kenny, Ph.D. offers psychotherapy for adolescent and adult individuals and couples. In addition, she serves on faculty at the Washington School of Psychotherapy and part-time faculty at Catholic University of America for the advanced year graduate students. She helps her clients understand the root of their problems, eliminate symptoms, improve relationships, and live more fully in the moment.

Her approach is active, dynamic, and focused in the current moment. She blends a mixture of modalities, including psychodynamic, cognitive and mindfulness to meet the specific goals of each client.

She works with clients who experience depression, anxiety, addiction, difficulty with relationships and intimacy, grief/loss, work and school problems, low self-esteem, and diversity issues.
